    The Church Tower (built c. 1540)

    The church tower is the only remaining part of the original church that was built on the site in the 1540s.

    The Lovely Countryside of Rossendale Valley

    Coalmining and the textile industry in the 19th century did great damage to Rossendale Valley's countryside, but local conservation efforts are doing much to restore the natural beauty of the area.

    Medieval Pilgrim's Cross

    On the site marked by this monument in the hilly moors of Rossendale Valley, there once stood a large wooden Pilgrim's Cross where medieval pilgrims stopped and rested on their way to Whalley Abbey to the north.
